Starting January 2nd, Carl Jr’s has announced a partnership with Beyond Meat to offer up a meatless burger. The burger will be named the Beyond Famous Star with Cheese. That said, you can add a Beyond Meat Burger to any of your other favorite Carl’s sandwiches for an additional $2 per patty.
What is Beyond Burger Meat?
The Beyond Burger is made by the folks at Beyond Meat. The burger is 100% plant-based and is said to look, cook and satisfy like meat. It is made without soy, gluten or GMOs.
The traditional burger packs 20g of protein that mostly comes from peas but also mung bean and rice protein. The Beyond Burger patty is Certified Vegan by the Vegan Action / Vegan Awareness Foundation.
