As reported by TDn2K, restaurant sales closed the year on a positive note. December comp sales were +2%, but restaurant traffic was still negative, -0.89%.
This 2% growth was the best performance in over two years. For the full year of 2018, this was the first industry-wide positive sales number following two years of negative sales. The year ended with positive sales up 0.7%.
